The introduction of NBN has taken over the existing internet connections offered and phasing them out as it is a better option. As some may not know, after 18 months of installation of NBN in your area, the old telephone and internet services will be disconnected.
The Cloud Phone is the new way to communicate through lightning fast connection without interruption. No more connection cut-outs or trouble receiving calls. This new service essentially becomes your new landline except with a difference, where the NBN connection is the fastest connection. It combines features of a landline with a reduced cost for calls your service provider offers.
If you still want to have the resemblance of a landline phone, the only options are VoIP (Voice over Internet Provider) or Cloud Phones which are better. This has to be done before the switch off date from when NBN has been installed in your area. Changing to NBN is easy and your service provider will send a new compatible modem and telephone handset if required. The setup process and equipment used should be similar to your current modem set up you are accustomed to.
For business’ the introduction of the Cloud Phone is a benefit as they will have access to faster and more reliable internet services. The Cloud Phone is essentially putting your phone system in the cloud. It is much more cost effective as there are no rental line fees like a traditional system allowing calls to be at a lower rate. The Cloud Phone does not require an expensive PBX system as the service delivers calls with the functionality of a PBX system with the internet connection. This provides a phone system at a fraction of the cost.
